Use a 3/16 toothed trowel and spread the Manustic adhesive evenly over a clean dry surface. Because the adhesive dries in 15 minutes, it’s best not to apply it ahead of time on several rows, but to prepare just one row at a time.
Then spread an even layer of Manustic on each stone before applying it to the wall. That’s all there is to it!
Tip: to avoid waste, we highly recommend working with 8 and 16-inch size stones (you get 8-inch stones by cutting a 16-inch stone down the middle). You can use these on alternating rows (please see diagrams). Finish your rows with stones of various widths, depending on what’s needed. For the first rows, place the stones on the floor in front of the surface to be covered, in order to match your measurements to the layout you’ve selected. Start each row following the diagram for your selected layout.
Start your row with a large stone, then place two stones whose combined heights equal that of the first stone. Continue this pattern all along the wall.
Be creative and place the stones randomly (once again, we recommend that you work with 8-inch and 16-inch stones to avoid waste and mistakes due to cutting).
